Oral Biology is a basic dental science subject that is taught to 1st Year BDS students. It serves as the foundation for clinical dental sciences, providing a comprehensive understanding of the development, structure, function, and clinical relevance of oral and craniofacial tissues. This multidisciplinary field encompasses oral embryology, anatomy, histology, physiology, tooth morphology, and dental occlusion. Our department offers a dynamic learning environment for first-year undergraduate dental students. We employ a learner-centered approach, utilizing innovative teaching methods such as multimedia lectures, educational videos, interactive group sessions, practical demonstrations and student presentations.
